I am Jason Chiu, a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and strategist focused on the technological forces with positive impact.

This blog is where I share research, frameworks, and perspectives on deep tech innovation (AI, robotics, blockchain, biotech, quantum computing), entrepreneurship, and life.

My background spans Electrical and Computer Engineering and high tech strategy consulting. I founded my first startup in 2000, right after the dot-com bubble burst—surviving that crucible taught me resilience and timing. It took 14 years to exit that venture, but subsequent exits came about every two to three years across companies I co-founded or backed as an early investor.

Since 2014, Blazing Stallion Limited has been my investment holding vehicle, a platform for angel investments in founders building at the intersection of technology and ambitious, world-shaping problems.

Half a lifetime of serial entrepreneurship has been profoundly transformative—a journey of exhilarating highs and humbling lows that I wouldn’t trade for anything else. I’ve lived both light and dark sides of the founder’s multiverse: the late nights chasing a vision, the gut-wrenching pivots, the unexpected breakthroughs.

With whatever hours remain in my week, I advise universities, work with quasi-government bodies, contribute to NGOs and industry associations, and volunteer in community service—an eye-opening portfolio approach to being curious in and saying 'yes' to too many things.

I’m married to my university sweetheart and the most amazing woman. We have two kids: a tech-savvy son and a spirited daughter who are convinced their dad is a misunderstood genius (I’ll take it). More details on me and my portfolio can be found in my LinkedIn profile.
